Did TAAI & TAFI agree to Weekly Payment System?

IATA says YES! The Airline Association has acknowledged that “Airlines (With one exception) and Agents together agreed at a meeting of APJC India to recommend to the Conference that weekly Remittance be phased in from June 2013 after a transitional three-times monthly Remittance period.”
APJC India has 7 members each from agents and airlines. And all the seven APJC India agent members are from TAAI and TAFI. From the above IATA statement, it is clearly that TAAI and TAFI have supported the move. This is surprising as the two associations after initially supporting ‘zero’ commission in 2008 had changed their allegiance in favour of the reinstatement of commission. And both, TAAI’s and TAFI’s stand of first supporting a ‘zero’ commission regime and then opposing it were reported in a section of media then.
