Let me write this mail to highlight my personal views:
APJC is where the fate & future of the travel agents in India has & is being decided….

Emails on unity among the a s s o c i a t i o n s h a v e b e e n crisscrossing for some time now. However this unity has been elusive for many years now. Many attempts have been made in the past to unify the three main associations namely IAAI, TAAI & TAFI .for the betterment of the travel agents in India. Also note that all the problems being inflicted upon the travel agents in India is squarely and clearly the result of an ineffective & under-represented APJC. Certain questions needs to be addressed to resolve & unravel the cause of miseries being inflicted upon the travel agents and to take corrective action if the call of unity is to be believed – Why is IAAI deliberately being kept out of APJC after all the good work they have done for the travel fraternity ?? – Who is blocking IAAI’s entry into APJC ??
- Why is that all resolutions proposed by Airlines gets easily and cleverly passed in APJC ?? – Who is fearing the entry of IAAI into APJC and why ?? – Why is that TAAI, TAFI & IAAI the three national associations representing IATA agents are not having equal representation in APJC ?? – When India has been cut over into 818g wherein APJC has provision for 9 members, why is this not being implemented andinstead sticking to 6/7 members ?? I firmly believe in the principle of equal representation of the three associations is a prequisite for unity to take place in all fairness. If the call of unity by TAAI & TAFI is genuine then please ask them to give equal representation to IAAI in APJC.

A strong & equal representation of all the three national travel associations in APJC is the first concrete step needed to defend the genuine interests the travel fraternity. All other actions will be of no real value to the agent fraternity APJC is where the fate & future of the travel agents in India has been and is being decided and so we need to have this strengthened with equal representation for IAAI, TAAI & TAFI

With warm regards
